GP Obstetrician & Lifestyle and Women’s Health Advocate
I’m a GP Obstetrician who has lived and worked in Gippsland for more than 20 years. I love rural general practice because it’s holistic by nature - we see people within their family units and communities, often caring for several generations over time. It truly is ‘cradle-to-grave’ medicine, where the importance of lifestyle medicine is clear every single day.

My Story
In the early part of my career, I focused heavily on maternity care, supporting up to 200 pregnant women and their families each year. I’ve always believed that by supporting women to have healthy pregnancies, we help them to build healthy families, and through healthy families, we create healthy communities. Over the years, I’ve grown and aged alongside many of my patients - those mothers are now midlife women - and my care for them has evolved as their needs have changed.
I’m passionate about helping women understand that there’s no magic pill, supplement, or quick fix that can replace the benefits of a balanced lifestyle - nourishing food, regular movement, restorative sleep, emotional wellbeing, and avoiding harmful substances. I love seeing women become empowered about their health and their lives. Too often, society tells women they’re not enough - that they must do more, be more, and consume more - and it leaves many feeling depleted and disheartened. I see my role as providing time, space, and evidence-based support so women can reconnect with their health goals and make sustainable, affordable changes that genuinely improve their quality of life.
Midlife is a powerful window of opportunity - a chance to take stock, reset, and shape the decades ahead with intention and vitality. I’m in my late 40s now and feel healthier than I ever have as an adult. Like many women, I spent years juggling study, work, family, and endless responsibilities until I realised I was unfit, burnt out, and not feeling my best. Over time, with the support of a great GP and by prioritising small, consistent lifestyle changes, I’ve completely turned my health around. I feel optimistic about the future and confident that the choices I make today will help me age well and minimise future regrets.
I live on a small farm surrounded by beautiful Gippsland countryside and try to spend as much time outdoors as possible. I’ve (badly) learned to surf in recent years and love the sense of awe that comes from being in the ocean. I also enjoy cooking, sharing meals with friends, and making the most of life’s simple pleasures.
